What a tube laser changes about structural fabrication

Holes, slots and end profiles arrive already in the section, and fit-up time drops accordingly.

The biggest change a tube laser makes is not the cutting itself. It is everything downstream of the cut.

Fit-up gets faster

Every hole, slot, cope and end profile arrives already in the section. Marking out and secondary drilling largely disappear, and repeat units stay consistent from the first to the last.

  • No marking out on the bench
  • No secondary drilling
  • Consistent hole positions unit to unit

Fewer handling steps

Work that would otherwise move between a saw, a drill line and a bench comes off one machine. That means fewer setups, fewer opportunities for a dimension to drift, and less time spent moving steel around the workshop.

Where it pays off most

Long structural runs, repeat assemblies and anything with a lot of connection detail tend to see the clearest benefit. A one-off with two holes in it probably does not.
